Background:
The duece-7 donkeys are composed mainly of Damion (DJ Rutt) Rutherford and Michael (The Cadillac) Doub and we both enjoy the excitement a good gamble brings! One of us, however, doesn’t believe in odds (DJ Rutt) while the other one (The Cadillac) is a stickler for odds and loves the mathematics of gambling! Together and separately we have partaken in games of chance all over the United States, both legally and in backrooms bars, barns, pizza shops and even a poker game in a tireshop!
The duo decided it was time to not only document our crazy gambling adventures but to also share our (Cadillac’s) knowledge of the game of poker. We hope you find our site both entertaining and knowledgeable. Please feel free to drop us a line and tell us how much you like us! If you don’t like us, well, keep that to yourself because we probably don’t like you either!

Biography Michael (Cadillac) Doub:
My love for gambling and odds began at the early age of about 5 years old, my babysitter used to enjoy a good gamble, and in the interest of playing games with me decided to teach me how to play 5-card draw and 7-card stud for candy. Eventually at around 10 years old I was playing penny/nickel ante poker with my baby-sitters card party and doing pretty well! It was also about this time I used to go to the local bingo hall on Saturday nights and play the “early bird” games with my grandmother until my mom finished shopping. The first night I ever played bingo I won the third game collecting a whopping $46.50 for my ability to count and blot numbers! I have been an avid gambler ever since! I’d play poker games for baseball cards and I’d play pool after school for 1$ games in Middle School. I guess by high school you could call me a hustler! Once in college working on my undergraduate degree (it’s in Biology) I decided I needed an income and help poker games at my house 6 nights a week. We always took Friday nights off to shoot pool, where I also turned a small profit. It was also about this time I was 19 years old and made my first trip to the Trump Taj in Atlantic City to sneak into my first poker game. I remember being fascinated by the sights and sounds inside the casino and the size of the poker room sent chills through my body! I was hooked on the casino life ever since! I played a lot of poker after the poker boom of 2003 and traveled from Vegas, Foxwoods, Tunica and Atlantic City to play. It was in 2004 when I first hit the felt having lost all my money on the craps tables and 3 card poker tables of Jack Binions Horseshoe in Tunica Mississippi. I returned home and rebuilt my roll while playing poker as my sole source of income for three months during the winter of 2004/2005. While playing “professionally” I was able to barely break even after figuring in my travel expenses and I started a new job in 2005 which has consumed much of my time.
Recently, I have decided to pick up poker as my hobby again. I enjoy the competition, the math, the discipline and the guts it requires to believe in yourself at the table. I hope you’ll come on our journey with us, enjoy our tales of gambling adventure and maybe even learn a thing or two!
